Gary Hellen

A passionate believer in the value of innovation to develop businesses and blue ocean markets. Spent over 9 years working with hundreds, if not thousands of, technology businesses applying for and being funded under the Grant for Research and Development and Smart grant scheme, over half of this time was spent in the management of the delivery of the scheme in the London region. Considered a national expert in the scheme by DIUS, has been intimately involved in the development of the grant and guidelines. Has an extensive network of regional, industry, higher education, business support and funding contacts. With engineering and accountancy qualifications is well placed to assess and advise on all aspects of a business.

Interests include science and technology, aeronautics, photography, film and motorsport.

David Blakey

An expert in capital investment projects. Spent over 8 years working with businesses applying for and being funded under various capital investment programmes including Regional Selective Assistance, Enterprise Grant, Selective Finance for Investment and Grant for Business Investment.

John Sawyer

A well respected chartered accountant with 30 years industry experience and 13 years experience of assessing the financial aspects of grant applications.
